Collect Microsoft Teams chats and modern attachments

You can now add Microsoft Teams chats to a collection. Also, you can collect modern attachments, GIPHY attachments, and reactions from the Microsoft Teams chats and Outlook emails. To collect Microsoft Teams chats, modern and GIPHY attachments, or reactions, you need to collect a PST file containing the Microsoft Teams chats or Outlook emails using the local file collection. For modern attachment collection, you also need to connect Epiq Discovery to the Microsoft 365 tenant using the Microsoft 365 credentials that the Azure administrator receives when registering the system.

To collect Microsoft Teams chats, modern and GIPHY attachments, or reactions, perform the following procedure.

  1. In the Project page, select .
  2. Click the button.
  3. In the pane, provide the following information.
    1. In , type a name for this collection.
    2. In , select where the files exist or add a new source.
      1. For example, you can select to collect your files or to collect files in a shared drive.
      2. To add a source, click + next to . In the dialog box, type a name for the source and click .
    3. In , select a name from the list or add a new custodian.
      • To add a new custodian, click + next to . In the dialog box, type the and for the user and click .
    4. Optional: Select to automate subsequent tasks that run as separate jobs after collection. You can stop the automation anywhere in the sequence by not choosing to select the next option.
      1. To process the files, select .
      2. To promote or export the files, select and select an existing filter template.
      3. To image the promoted files, select and choose an existing image template.
      4. To create production for the promoted files, select , and choose an existing production template.
        • Specify how to stamp the data (Bates Number, Document Number, or File Name).
        • Define the sort method for the data (, ,, , or . You can select up to three levels of sorting and specify whether to keep families together.
    5. Click to identify the files you want to collect.
    6. Do one of the following steps.
      • Drag the PST file from your desktop to the collection box.
      • Click the collection box. In the dialog box, navigate to the PST file you want to collect, select the file, and click .
    7. Click .
